ABOUT ME:

Dina Yunis is an urban and SWANA scholar passionate about understanding the intersection of public space, visual arts, and conflict. As a PhD candidate at King’s College London, she conducts in-depth research on marginalised communities and the role of creative mediums in challenging societal power structures. With experience at MIT and the Issam Fares Institute of Public Policy and International Affairs, Dina has a strong background in qualitative research, project management, and community engagement. Her current research focuses on the spatial politics and significance of graffiti during times of political uprisings and the everyday in post-war Beirut.

SPECIALITIES

  • Be clear, be confident, and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.

  • Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sounds like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.
